The Port Leader of the Year award is a long-standing BJAC tradition, honoring an individual who has made distinguished contributions to the Port and City of Baltimore.

The recipient is nominated by the port community at large and voted on by a panel of their peers. Past award recipients include Don Carroll, Chairman of the Board of T. Parker Host of Maryland; Jim White, former Executive Director of the Maryland Port Administration; Horace Alston, Vice President of the International Longshoreman's Association; and David W. Stambaugh, III, General Manager of the Baltimore Maritime Exchange, Inc. (BME).

Annual Event

The Port Luncheon is held annually in the fall.  Single tickets, as well as tables, are available for the event.  Exciting corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available.  Sponsorship of the Port Leader of the Year event is an excellent way to promote your organization to prominent members of the Baltimore port and political communities.
